2018/2019 REIGN ACADEMY PROGRAMS

Reign Academy operates three programs that support elite, near-elite and emerging-elite female players ages 12-19.

Development Academy

Reign Academy operates teams in the '05, '04,  '03/'02 and '01/'00 age brackets in the U.S. Girls' Development Academy. These teams offer comprehensive, focused and intense training environments that are designed to develop elite-level players to their fullest potential, preparing them for D1 colleges, professional playing careers or international football.

Reign Academy2

Reign Academy2 teams offer a pathway for players capable of making the leap to the DA level of play. Reign Academy2 teams compete in the '05, '04,  '03/'02 and '01/'00 age brackets and train under the Reign Academy curriculum. Reign Academy2 players can be called up as Developmental Players to the full DA teams, and are permitted to play with their high school teams.

Reign Pre-Academy

The Reign Pre-Academy offers emerging-elite players in the '06 and '07 age brackets with a defined pathway to DA and Academy 2 teams. Reign Pre-Academy teams train using the Reign Academy curriculum, and players have opportunities to move up to DA or Academy2 teams should a player be performing beyond her current age level.

2018/2019 PLAYER ID SESSIONS

Reign Academy is hosting PLAYER IDENTIFICATION SESSIONS for the U14, U15, U16/U17 and U18/19 U.S. Soccer Girls Development Academy Teams for the 2018/2019 season.

Players will be assessed by Reign Academy and Seattle Reign FC coaching staff. There is no cost to participate in the Player Identification Sessions.

Seattle Reign FC and Eastside FC have joined forces in a unique, long-term partnership to offer a comprehensive set of programs for female footballers ages 12-19.

Centered around teams playing in the United States Soccer Girls' Development Academy, the Reign Academy provides female players in the Pacific Northwest with an unrivaled platform to develop both as players and as individuals, in a female-centered environment that is built around the unique needs of the elite female soccer player.

Reign Academy programs – DA, Reign Academy2, and Reign Pre-Academy – are intended to broadly impact all female programs offered by Eastside FC, building on the significant investments they’ve made in their girls’ programs and enhancing the great successes they’ve seen on the pitch.

This partnership enables Reign Academy to be a unique force in the northwest soccer community, inspiring and improving players while striving to become a worldwide leader in the development of female soccer players.

WE ARE COMMITTED TO BUILDING THE BEST WOMEN’S SOCCER CLUB IN THE WORLD. DOING SO MEANS THAT WE MUST DEVELOP SOME OF THE WORLD’S BEST PLAYERS RIGHT HERE IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. Vlatko Andonovski

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Head coach of Seattle Reign FC, Vlatko Andonovski also serves as the Executive Director of the Reign Academy. Andonovski played professionally for twelve years in Europe and the US. His massively successful coaching career includes an ECNL Championship with FCKC/Futura Academy in 2011 and two NWSL Championships while at FC Kansas City in 2014 and 2015. He holds a UEFA "A" license, a NSCAA Premier Diploma, and will complete his Masters in Coaching Education in December of 2017. Andonovski was named NWSL Coach of the Year in 2013.

KIM CALKINS

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Kim holds U.S. Soccer “A” license, was most recently working as the head coach of the Sounders Women and as the Girls Director of Coaching at Eastside FC.  She previously worked as the Technical Director for Washington Youth Soccer, where she led the Washington EPD teams to four regional championships. Kim attended the University of Portland where she helped lead the Pilots to three NCAA College Cup Final Four appearances. After college, Kim played professionally for the Boston Breakers in the WUSA.
