U.S. Under-16 girls’ national team head coach Kacey White has named the roster for the team’s upcoming camp at the Elite Training Center in Chula Vista, California. Reign Academy defender Smith Hunter is among the 24 players selected.

“I’m excited to go back to camp with the U-16s” said Hunter. “It’s the same location as my first-ever camp with the team, and I’m excited to get back with my teammates and catch up. After playing games in Belgium, I know I’ll be more confident going in.”

After a tournament win in Belgium in May, the U-16s will participate in their third training camp of the year running from July 23rd to July 30th. The players, who moved up from the U-14 level last year, will spend two years on the U-16 GNT before moving on to the U-18s. This group of players will eventually be the core group for the team that will attempt to qualify for the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
